Dimes March Letters: About 20,000 letters asking support for the 1962 March of Dimes campaign for the National Foundation were delivered yesterday to the Ann Arbor Post Office. Making a last-minute check is Nancy McArtor of 1138 Lincoln Ave., Tappan Junior High School Student Council secretary. About 150 students at Tappan, Slauson and Forsythe Junior High Schools, plus firemen at the E. Stadium Blvd. station, addressed envelopes. The campaign mail is in a category handled on a volume basis, and Washtenaw County Hospital patients aided in counting envelopes.

About 25 Ann Arbor teachers learned some new things about Water Safety Instructions recently at Forsythe Junior High from Jerry Greenlick (standing), a physical education instructor in the Ann Arbor Public Schools since 1945. The physical education teacher had to learn some new techniques now required by the Red Cross for certification as Water Safety instructors. Greenlick, who also has been waterfront director at Interlochen for many years, will retire this June.
