Dicken Elementary School students Mark Butler (left), John Owans, Berndt Schmit, Susan Postema and Anne Marie Cole present an afghan to Miss June Wrigley, a resident of Hillside Terrace. The students and their classmates in Teacher Norma Johnston's class each made a square of the afghan as part of their class project on the history of Ann Arbor. The third graders also wrote a play titled "Long, Long Ago" about the development of the city and have written a song called "Old Ann Arbor."
