FLEET OF FOOD - David Genson puts up a refurbished Fleetwood Diner sign, following repairs to the roof of the eatery, which is located at 300 S. Ashley in Ann Arbor. Fleetwood owner Chris Andrews said the fiberglass sign dates from the early 1950s. 'It still has the original Coke panels,' Andrews said. 'That design was gone by 1960.' To allay the fears of city building inspectors worried about cracks that had appeared in the fiberglass, the old sign was laminated onto a block of wood.
