INDIAN ADOBE HACIENDA: This Pueblo Indian exhibit is only one of three made by Dixboro School pupils as a project in Indian study. The pupils, who spent a lot of time in research, found that not all Indians lived in tepees. Bush Indians or those who lived in wooded areas made bark and pitch houses, and northern Indians lived in tepees in the summer, but made a warmer stone and mud dwelling for winter. George Bentley hands a "baked clay" oven used for pottery making to Richard L. Zeeb. Diana B. Wilkinson looks on. All are fourth-graders.
