HAVE REACHED TENNIS FINALS: All of these local tennis players shown above will be competing in the finals of the Ann Arbor News and city tennis tournaments at 4 o’clock Sunday afternoon at Plamer Field. They all qualified for the finals yesterday by winning their semi-final matches. Upper left is Jean Johnson, hard-serving and hard-smashing girl, who has been playing an excellent brand of tennis in the novice division. She meets Beatrice Massman, upper right [this photo], in the finals of the Ann Arbor News tournament. Lower center is C. M. Pelto, who put out several of the tournament favorites on his way to the novice finals. Lower left is Dr. Perry MacNeal, who plays Pelto Sunday for the novice title. Lower right shows Ed Morris of this year’s Michigan varsity, who won a thrilling three set match from Bob Angell yesterday in the men’s open singles. Angell was a member of the Michigan team in 1920 and 1921.
