Published In:
Ann Arbor News, April 25, 1971
Caption:
St. Thomas Seniors Donate Time The seniors at St. Thomas High School have discovered an unusual way to make money for their school. They hired themsleves out, en masse, to Topps department store and assisted in taking inventory for the large establishment. They earned $1.75 per hour and with 280 students involved in the day-long project, they were able to bring in close to $500 for the school's operating fund. Leo Wagner, principal of St. Thomas, allowed the students to register early because of this work day and said he was very pleased with the results. Plans are being considered to repeat the project next year.
