Wildflower Retreat: This cultivated garden at the home of Mrs. Fred Harris of 1 Edmund Pl. provides an entrance to a bit of wilderness and natural wildflower garden within the city limits of Ann Arbor. Mrs. Harris had planted numerous species of wildflowers in the wooded area just as they could grow naturally in the hardwood forests of lower Michigan. Part of her fern garden can be seen in the foreground.
