Site Heavily Wooded: Trees surround the house on its heavily wooded four-acre site that overlooks Nichols Arboretum. Saving the trees and orienting the house to take best advantage of the scenery were objectives of the architects. The "T"-shaped structure gains its modern appearance from wide overhangs, cantilevered main level, glass walls and vertical cedar siding. The same brick at the exterior is used at interior and on fireplaces there.
