Parade Wind-Up: Last elements of the "Veterans Day" parade swing around Fifth Ave. corner onto Huron St. as candid photographers finish their rolls and children sight the capering horse platoon. In the picture's foreground is the school bus from the American Legion's Otter Lake billet, followed by a Navy "duck" carrying members of the Legion's Junior Baseball League, and a float bearing the "40 and 8" membership. The mounted troop represented the Huron Valley Horsemen's Association.

'Hup, Two, Three, Four!': Ann Arbor's Kenneth Fox Post of the Veterans of Foreign Wars strides west on E. William St. followed by its auxiliary in Saturday's "Veterans Day" parade which began Washtenaw county's week of rededication to American ideals. The ceremonies will be climaxed by the visit of the famed Freedom Train which will be on exhibition from 10 o'clock in the morning until 10 at night on Thursday.

Parade Spearhead: Grand Marshal Thomas A. FitzGerald, right foreground, leads Saturday's all-veterans parade opening Rededication Week observances prior to Thursday's arrival of the Freedom Train. FitzGerald is followed by an honorary color guard, the Detroit Police band, and marching units of the Ann Arbor police and fire departments. Thousand flanked Huron, State, William, and Main Sts. to watch the marchers. At the Courthouse terminus, the parade gave way to a rededication program.

Paraders . . . Units in yesterday's "Youth Day" bike-march were originally separated by age groups (one of which is pictured here following an official car); by the time the parade reached its Ferry Field wind-up point, however, there was little discernible pattern. Officials, sorting the paraders into their age groups again, awarded a total of 30 prizes to the riders of the best-decorate bikes. An estimated 800 youths rode in the parade which drew many other youngsters as spectators.
