Arab-American Exhibit Offered - Hala Yahya, left, and her sister, Hazar, students at Abbot Elementary School, examine an Arab-American exhibit designed by their mother, Fauzia Yahya. The exhibit, which portrays the heritage, culture and contributions of Arab-Americans, is on display at the Ann Arbor Public Library through Dec. 18. Ethnic groups that are part of the Multi-Ethnic Alliance are taking turns putting up displays about their heritage.

Making an attractive window display is one of the many jobs Thrift Shop members have in operating their store at 120 N. Fourth Ave. Mrs. Russell Pryce (left) of Miller Ave. and Mrs. Robert Norris of Baldwin Ct. are shown putting the finishing touches to this week's window display. Members of the shop are preparing their store for the influx of articles they expect at their Bundle Tea to be held Wednesday afternoon. Mrs. Alexander G. Ruthven is opening her home for the annual event. Members are hoping for record contributions as their stock is now depleted. The shop is soliciting all types of usable clothing and household articles. Proceeds from the sale of these articles are used for charity.

Valentine's Day Message: Kindergarteners at Bach Elementary School including (from left) Corey Cartwright, Carol Richter and Russell Hart composed a Valentine's message, " Making a Bee Line To Your Heart " for their bulletin board display. The kindergarteners, students of Mrs. Patricia Burmeister, made all the paper hearts for the board. Many schools observed the day in a similar fashion.
