THEY'LL CHEER FOR PIONEERS: These nine young people will be urging the stands to make some organized noise tonight and other nights this fall when Ann Arbor High meets its opponents on the football field. They are, left to right, Benn Scott, Carl Brauer, Bob Blaess, Don Baylis, Jim Briegel, Dorine Haab, Nancy Coller, Pat Schmidt and Mary Schmidt. The two young ladies at the far right should provide double attraction to the crowds. They are twins.

In the top picture, a group of Slauson Junior High seventh graders just assigned to homeroom 312 gave it - and each other - the once over as they settled into their seats this morning. Backs straightened and eyes turned forward after teacher Edwin C. Oakes called them to order. The first order of business was to explain the purpose of the homeroom to the pupils, who were in elementary school last year.
