State St. The display, part of traditional homecoming festivities, paraphrased Shakespeare's MacBethian witches with "Double, double; toil and trouble, Minnesota burn, Michigan bubble."

WE'VE GOT MINNESOTA'S NUMBER: Homecoming displays predicting defeat for Minnesota in this afternoon's football game sprang up overnight on the campus. Kappa Alpha Theta sorority at 1414 Washtenaw Ave. displayed a "victory" telephone, with the slogan, "We'll Ring Up Minnie's Number."
