THE 'HAVES' REVIEW THOSE WHO WANT THEIR JOBS: With eight "good men" after the assignments, Coach Don "Dobbie" Drake shouldn't have too much trouble at the guard spot on his Ann Arbor High football team this fall. Two of the eight, George Tokunaga (second from right) and Bob Sauve (right) are lettermen with strings on the jobs. Anxious, and maybe ready, to cut those strings are the other six, from left to right, Ted Hariton, Dick Creel, Dick Harvey, Dick Parker, Jack Baylis and John Kokinakes. Drake isn't sure who'll get the Friday night starting calls against Flint Central here.

OUT OF SAGINAW GAME: Halfback Chuck Lamberson, Ann Arbor High's best passer, suffered an injury in the first half of the Flint Central game last Friday night which is expected to keep him out of the Arthur Hill game at Saginaw this week. Much of Ann Arbor's success this year depends on the accurate throwing of Lamberson.

TALKING OVER BATTLE CREEK GAME: These two Pioneers, Bud King (left) and Dave Space, will be much in evidence Friday night when Ann Arbor High footballers take on Battle Creek in a Five-A League game at the Food City. King, a reformed end, is now playing the left halfback position. Space is a flanker who has developed a lot already this season.
