BLOOD DRIVE - Wes McKenzie, executive director of the Washtenaw County Chapter of the American Red Cross, accepts a donation for the Lebanon Relief Operation from Dr. Rafat Alguwaily, a research scientist at the University of Michigan, as Dr. Farouk Shafie, a pharmacologist at Wayne County General Hospital, and his wife Rabia look on. Washtenaw County residents of Lebanese and Palestinian origin gave blood as an appeal to others to give monetary assistance to those affected by the Lebanese crisis.
