Ann Arbor service clubs and the University's International Students Association joined to present a television set to the U-M's Madelon Pound House, an extension of the International Center. Formally presenting the set yesterday were the Rotary, Lions and Kiwanis clubs and the Junior Chamber of Commerce. Using the new set (left to right) are: Gaston J. Sigur, assistant director of the International Center; Michiomi Suwab, a student from Japan; Kimiko Hosoya, also of Japan; Suna Ekmekce of Turkey; and Fakhri Al-Chalabi of Iraq.

Brookside Subdivision on Stone School Rd., just a quarter of a mile south of Stone School (top center) at the junction with Packard Rd., is fast taking shape, as this aerial photograph by News photographer Pete Mann shows. Eugene Hannah, its owner and developer, has 21 houses in various stages of construction in the area. Fifty-four in all are planned. A late-fall completion date has been set. Walden Woods development may be seen in the photograph, above and slightly to the right of Brookside.

Major, the four-year-old Great Dane belonging to the Delta Tau Delta fraternity, shows up every morning at the University Spudnut Shoppe, 1205 1/2 S. University Ave., for his spudnut. He comes alone, as soon as he is let out of the house, and Frank Waterman (above), shop owner, charges Major's consumption to the fraternity. Major, who acquired a taste for the product a year ago when he was brought to the shop by fraternity members, ordinarily gets his spudnut at the door of the store and leaves immediately.

A LOT OF FANS CAME BY BUS: These 88 special Greyhound buses parked in a tirigangular area bounded by Stadium Blvd, S. State St. and the Ann Arbor Railroad tracks just east of the University golf course indicate how a lot of fans came to Ann Arbor for Saturday's Michigan-Michigan State game. There also were a number of special trains.

LATE ARRIVALS: Football fans were still pouring into the Michigan Stadium when this airview was taken of the north end of the stadium Saturday, although the huge bowl looks to be full. Thousands of fans were not in their seats when the game began and missed one or both of the Wolverines' touchdowns in the first quarter.

Firemen work in the blaze-ruined debris (top) that was the attic of the Howard S. Holmes home at 175 Underdown Rd., Barton Hills, before fire struck yesterday afternoon. The Barton Hills and Ann Arbor Township Fire Departments confined the fire to the attic as is evident in the view (bottom) from the west side of the four-bedroom home. No one was hurt. Total damage was estimated between $20,000 and $25,000.
