Canadian Flag Presented ~ Jack Scoyne (center), president of the Blenheim, Ont., Kiwanis Club, yesterday presented a new Canadian flag to the Kiwanis Club of Ann Arbor at a luncheon meeting. Accepting the flag are Robert A. Reiff, president of the local club, and Charles Gregory, who has fostered exchange meetings of the two clubs on an annual basis. Ann Arbor Kiwanis Club members last month went to Blenheim to give a U.S. Flag to that club.

Present State Flag: Eberwhite School's Student Council presented a Michigan flag to the school this morning in an assembly in the hall, opening the school's observance of Michigan Week. David C. Gillen is president of the Student Council, and Judy Lovell is secretary. The two officers, both sixth graders, made the presentation. Note the bouquet of apple blossoms, the state flower, in left foreground.

"An American flag which has flown over the U.S. capitol is presented by Rep. Marvin L. Esch, R-Ann Arbor (right). to members of the first delegation scheduled to visit Ann Arbor's new sister city in Japan. Receiving the flag is Mrs. Tom Hagerty, wife of the person scheduled to make the presentation on July 18 to the mayor of Hikone City. Making the July trip to Japan will be the 100 members of the Musical Youth International band and choir. Others in the picture are (left to right): Joan Hagerty, Louist Stout Jr. and Neil Perrault.
