SHRINE RISES ABOVE DEXTER CHURCHYARD: A beautiful stone grotto, dedicated to "Our Lady of Lourdes" and a memorial to the dead of St. Joseph's parish in Dexter, has been erected on St. Joseph's church grounds under the supervision of Rev. Charles T. Walsh, pastor. The shrine is of field stone, and the two statues are of Carrara marble, imported from Carrara, Italy, the largest weighing 1100 pounds. The grotto will be illuminated at night.
