HEAP BIG POW-WOW: Indians played a large part in the early history of Dexter and of Washtenaw county and their tribe was not forgotten in the Centennial pageant depicting 100 years of Dexter history since laying of the first railway track to the village. The scene above is taken from an early part of the pageant depicting pre-Civil war days.

Pictured here is a scene re-enacted from those days for the "Dexter Down the Decades" show which will be given tonight and tomorrow night as part of the town's Centennial celebration which began yesterday.
