Present State Flag: Eberwhite School's Student Council presented a Michigan flag to the school this morning in an assembly in the hall, opening the school's observance of Michigan Week. David C. Gillen is president of the Student Council, and Judy Lovell is secretary. The two officers, both sixth graders, made the presentation. Note the bouquet of apple blossoms, the state flower, in left foreground.

Reasons why Chris likes the state are "Because of all four seasons, the birds, the trees, the flowers, the lakes, the football stadium and the University of Michigan."
