The students at St. Pauls Lutheran Church decided to donate their own money to be given to Detroit inner city Lutheran School as one of their projects for the year. Accepting a check for his school, Gethsemane in Detroit, is Tony Burt (left) and also a teacher from his school Marge Volger. Giving the $216.67 check is Dan Hammer and Lisa Callies and St. Paul Principal Alvin Richert. All In One Classroom Students at Redeemer Lutheran School's one-room schoolhouse listen intently as Raymond Manthe, principal and teacher reads them a lesson. The school is one of three Lutheran elementary schools in Ann Arbor. All seven grades - kindergarten through sixth - are taught in the schoolhouse. Twenty-eight pupils attend classes at Redeemer Lutheran, which was built in 1946 and is supported by the Wisconsin Synod congregation of Lutherans here.
