MISS KYER 'REAPS HARVEST': Miss Jean Kyer, Ann Arbor's leading woman golfer, is shown 'reaping the harvest' of the approach shots she hit onto the practice green at Barton Hills yesterday morning. Miss Kyer appeared to be hitting the ball with all her old-time skill and should be a strong contender in women's tournaments throughout the state this summer.

JUST BEFORE THE BATTLE STARTED: Miss Betty Bonisteel, left, and Miss Jean Kyer, right, are shown this morning at Barton Hills just before they started their final match in the Barton Hills club championship which Miss Kyer won by a margin of 4 and 3, and retained her crown won a year ago. Both played good golf this morning, Miss Kyer posting a medal score of 83 while Miss Bonisteel shot an 88. Miss Bonisteel was two up at the end of four holes, but Miss Kyer came back to reach the turn one up and added to her margin on the second nine.
