Many Ann Arbor girls will be heading back to college next month pocketing tuition money earned through summer employment. In her work for the Ann Arbor-Washtenaw Council of Churches, 18-year-old Becky Piper, daughter of the Rev. and Mrs. Ralph B. Piper of Brockman Blvd., helps roll out the welcome mat for students participating in the council-sponsored "Youth for Understanding" program. Becky, left, who will begin her sophomore year at the University, welcomes Pirkko Paaermaa of Finland who will live with Mr. and Mrs. Ray Cross of Emerald Ave. while attending school.
