Taming him are Arnhilt Haerer (left) and Beth Mosier (right) while John Westerman stands ready with spear in hand. Proceeds of the carnival will go toward the church school addition now under construction.

METHODIST CHOIR TO SING 'ELIJAH': Five soloists will accompany the senior choir of the First Methodist church (above) in a presentation of Mendelssohn's oratoria "Elijah" at 8 o'clock tomorrow night at the church. The oratorio will be conducted by Hardin Van Deursen, assistant professor of voice in the University School of Music and director of the Methodist choir. The program will be a memorial to Mrs. H. B. Earhart, who was instrumental in organizing the choir.
