Up Goes The New City Hall: The eye-catching erection of steel for Ann Arbor's new six-floor City Hall is now being made. It began this week and will be completed within the next two weeks. Construction of the downtown structure, progressing on schedule, is expected to be completed by April, 1963.

Last Brick At City Hall: With Indian Summer fading from the scene, the last exterior brick of Ann Arbor' new City Hall was laid yesterday. John Dixon, Belleville bricklayer, inserts the last brick at the first-floor level on the north side of the six-floor downtown structure. Masonry block fill will be constructed in the open portion above the wall. The building is expected to be ready for use by April.

Sesquicentennial Briefing: Ann Arbor will celebrate its 150th birthday anniversary this year, and the people leading the affair were honored by City Council Monday night. Council confirmed a proclamation issued by Mayor James E. Stephenson last week, officially naming this the city's sesquicentennial birthday. Present at the meeting wre members of theSesquicentennial Commission, including chairman Douglas Crary (standing), who briefed council on the activities being planned. Behind Crary, commission member Ralph Munsy and executive secretary Lila Green look over the official proclamation.
