Enlistments Mark Anniversary: Lt. Patricia M. White (left), nurse programs officer from the U.S. Navy Recruiting Office in Detroit, enlists two University senior nursing students into the Navy Nurse Corps to mark the 61st anniversary of the corps. Taking the required oath are Stephanie Ann Cole of Wadsworth, Ohio (center) and Judith Lyn Murray of East Grand Rapids. The anniversary occurred yesterday. The corps was founded on May 13, 1908, with 20 members. There are now more than 2.400 members. The new members will receive salary and tuition while completing their training.
