NEW TERMINAL WELL-LIGHTED: This is a view of the main terminal lobby at Detroit Metropolitan Airport. Three major domestic airlines and a local service carrier have moved to the Wayne county airfield from Willow Run Airport since last fall. They joined two overseas airlines which have operated several flights weekly from Detroit Metro for several years. The $8,500,000 Detroit Metro terminal was opened Oct . 1, 1958.

NEW DETROIT METRO TERMINAL: Since last fall, this new terminal at Detroit Metropolitan Airport has become the Detroit base for four airlines formerly located at Willow Run Airport. When opened last Oct. 1, the bi-level, $8,300,000 structure was called the first half of a terminal eventually planned to serve all commercial airlines serving Detroit. Now Wayne county officials say a separate terminal building will have to be constructed before the seven Willow Run carriers could be accommodated.
