Elving of 2309 Devonshire Rd., members of the Friends of the Ann Arbor Public Library. Mrs. Don Sherrick (standing in doorway), director of the hospital's physical medicine department, looks on. The library service for the hospital has been set up on a three-month trial basis. Members of the Friends will act as volunteers in the bookcart service for patients.

The books were paid for by the association and the Friends of the Public Library. Each paid half the costs.

BOOKS FOR SALE - Five-year-old Anne Bernardin, Ashley Weeks, a long-time member of the Friends of the Library and Matt Guyer, 14, right, are busy these days getting ready for the biannual Friends book sale. The sale, held at the Public Library on S. Fifth Avenue, opens Friday for members of the Friends group and continues Saturday, Sunday and Monday for the public. All types of books, most of them donated, will be on sale with receipts used by Friends of the Library to sponsor a number of activities.
