Ann Arbor residents long identified with the development of the northside attended the annual Northside reunion yesterday at Island park. The oldest person attending the picnic was Fred W. Bowen of 1317 Pontiac St., 85 years old, a resident of the northside for 45 years.

Reynolds, 922 Wall St., former city clerk, and Rev. Harry E. Bell, 511 East Ann St., formerly for 15 years minister of the North Side Union church.

Sturgis, director of the Simpson Memorial Institute is farthest to the left facing toward the camera, and Dr. Albert C. Furstenberg, dean of the Medical School is second from the right of the picture.

Old Neighborhood Reunion - A Film by Kameron Donald

In this documentary short, filmmaker Kameron Donald lets us spend a day at the 25th Old Neighborhood Reunion, a (mostly) annual gathering of former residents of Ann Arbor's Historically Black Neighborhood.  Attendees eat, dance, and share memories of growing up in a very different Ann Arbor at a very different time.
