Local Bell Telephone Co. employes contributed more than $150 to purchase gifts for wounded veterans of Korean fighting convalescing at Percy Jones Hospital in Battle Creek. Loading the gifts, to be delivered tomorrow, are telephone company employes Carl W. Jaeger (right) of 4110 Dexter Rd. and Floyd Steers of 8303 W. Huron Dr. Each package contains cigarets, candy, stationery and other assorted items.

Mrs. Margaret Matteson, an Eberwhite teacher, is teaching the fourth grade at the English school. The gifts were bought with donations made by Junior Red Cross members.
