Without yowls or howls and in the privacy of her own home, little Martha Hairston, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Nelson Hairston of 3466 Richard St., Pittsfield Village, gets a pair of new shoes. Robert Shipman, owner of the Town and Campus Shoe Store, is shown as he checks their fit. The service is part of the new "mobile shoe department" of the store. The stock is carried in the rear of a station wagon. Mrs. Hairston, center, had previously telephoned the store for an appointment.
