AATA Buses - The public had a chance to examine 14 new AATA buses Wednesday following a ribbon-cutting ceremony at City Hall. Though the response to the sleek new coaches was enthusiastic, the traffic on Huron Street got a bit tangled during the event, causing Lt. Marvin Konkle (this photo) to ask AATA executive director Richard Simonetta to move the buses.

Test Produces Tears - A tear glistens on the cheek of Sgt. Marvin Konkle seconds after a drop of "Mace" was placed on his face in an experiment yesterday to show city police how the new chemical affects a person. Three other officers who took part in the test had varying degrees of discomfort from the drop.
