This is the interior of the Manikas Sir-Loin House of 307 S. Main St., which has just opened by Frank N. Manikas, a local restaurateur for 37 years. Coziness and warmth are gained at the booths through use of dropped ceilings of acoustical tiles and spot lighting, simulated mahogany wainscoating, angular strips of walnut paneling at the point the ceiling and wall meet and a variety of wallpapers. The facility cost Manikas $50,000. A grand opening is planned.
