SITE CLEARED: The walls of the building west of the old Whiffletree Restaurant on Huron Street were tumbling down Tuesday, 19 months after fire gutted the building and the adjacent downtown Ann Arbor eatery. But the demolition of the Whiffletree was delayed pending an investigation by city officials to determine whether the building is salvageable. Ro-An Realty partner Andy Gulvezan said the site will be used temporarily for a parking lot, until the fate of the restaurant is settled.
