Year:

Published In:
Ann Arbor News, November 17, 1967
Caption:
End Of A Contest The rules of the annual Sunday School contest at Grace Bible Church provided that the captain of the losing team should get a pie in the face from the winners' captain. This year the contest ended in a tie, so a flip of the coin was arranged to decide the issue. In the top picture, Jon Soper flips the coin as captains Robert Howison, left, and Herb Stuckey look on. Below, winner Stuckey's face wears a smile, and loser Howison's face is full of pie. Grace Bible Church won second-place in the statewide contest.
