Scotty’s Hamburgers Systems, Inc., of Indiana has opened its first branch in Michigan at 3352 Washtenaw. The building, land and equipment cost about $300,000, according to manager Daniel Robertson. Twenty-five people are employed at the present time and that figure will rise to 40 when the operation is in full swing, he said. Scotty’s is a subsidiary of Ponderosa Systems, Inc., which has just opened a restaurant on an adjacent lot.
