The Dixboro Garage was a source for gasoline, oil, candy and the latest gossip. That's Barney Schmid pumping petro into Bill Leslie's coup. (Schmid's car is behind Leslie's) Plymouth Road is the border photo along the left. In its most recent reincarnation, the Garage is home to an antique dealer. The Dixboro schoolbus was stored at the garage and in the 50s, the day after Halloween, the bus windows had been soaped. Max Marken, the bus driver, made a mass announcement that "all those who partook in the soaping were expected to be at the garage on Saturday to clean the bus windows."
