Mott, pull ropes to unveil plaque at dedication ceremonies for the University's new C. S. Mott Children's Hospital yesterday at the new facility. Looking on (left to right) are the Rt. Rev. Richard S. Emrich, Episcopal bishop; Mott, and Edward J. Connors, director of the new $9,500,000 facility. Mott, through his C. S. Mott Foundation, gave $6,500,000 to make the unique 207-bed hospital possible.

The University's new 207-bed C. S. Mott Children's Hospital with a project budget of $8,011,915 is under construction on a site between Women's Hospital and the Outpatient Building at the U-M Medical Center. The facility is scheduled to open in 1968. The C. S. Mott Foundation of Flint started the project with a gift of $6,000,000 to which it has since added $500,000. The federal government has provided $661,915 for the research portion of the building.

The completion date, of course, is some months away.
