Christmas Garden Show Built in 1870 On Display at Nye Motor Sales, December 1947

Christmas Scene Built 77 Years Ago: The Christmas garden show above -- now on display at Nye Motor Sales, 210 W. Washington St. -- was built in 1870 by Paul Rupff, a tinsmith. It was given to the late William A. Gwinner, of Ann Arbor, when he was three years old. The house at upper left is of tin. Some of the tree ornaments and a few of the figures are originals. The builder's widow, Mrs Mary Rupff, 90, live in Bay City.
