U HIGH'S FRONT MEN: U High hopes for victory over Lincoln Consolidated tonight will depend in considerable measure on the performances of these three veterans. Dick Daniels, Bill Prakken, and Eric Fauri (left to right) are the Cubs' big men, each a six-footer. Prakken is the team's scoring leader, having hit 93 points in seven games, while Daniels has added 74 and Fauri 43. Each does well in rebounding, too.

PRIMING FOR INTER-CITY BATTLE: Veteran Coach Nels Lehsten and three of his University High cagers (top) and new St. Thomas Coach Larry Dunn and Guard Dick Pelletier (bottom) are laying plans for the 48th basketball battle between the two schools on Saturday. Grouped around Lehsten are, left to right, Forward Jeff Fischer, Center Bill Prakken and Guard Pete Andrews, three starting holdovers from the 1958-1959 season. Both schools have opening games tomorrow night before their inter-city clash--U High traveling to Clinton and St. Thomas entertaining Redford St. Agatha.

Bradley Gets A Rebound: There were three Addison players gathered around the hoop to grab this rebound but U High's Stu Bradley, going high in the air, comes down with the ball. Addison's Paul Rumohr (4), Jerry Renfer (54) and Bob Sanderson (behind Bradley) were outhustled by Bradley. That's the Cubs' Bill Prakken (44) at left and Pete Andrews (30) in the rear. Near Andrews is Addison's Jim Frayer.
