Shoemaker Of Note - If the shoe fits, it could have been made by Vernon Leighton, new orthopedic shoemaker at the University Hospital. Unemployed for 20 years because of polio, Leighton was trained through the Office of Vocational Rehabilitation and started work this month. "I'm thankful to feel useful again," Leighton says.
