A wide boulevard forms the main entry to the new Colonial Square Townehouse development off Platt Rd. in southeast Ann Arbor. Note the deep setback of dwelling units from the street, giving a feeling of spaciousness. The cooperative development is being built by Bert L. Smokler & Co. of Detroit. It is bringing the first 189 units to completion and this week was authorized to construct another 165 town houses in the Colonial Square project.

These homes are among 17 being built in Pauline Acres subdivision, off Pauline Blvd., by the Lawry Construction Co. of Dearborn. Sales agents for the project, Hobbs & Schmidt Realtors, report that nine of the 17 are already sold. A model home, now completed, shows the important features of all the homes in the group. In the $18,000 bracket - highest price range in the group - it contains mahogany trim in the kitchen, full basement and built-in vanity in the bath. The homes have brick exteriors.
