PEACEFUL FLAME-THROWERS: Washtenaw County Road Commission employes watch a demonstration of a new-type flame-thrower for use principally in singeing and killing roadside weeds. The demonstration at the commission headquarters at 415 W. Washington St. was made by representatives of Weldit, Inc., of Detroit and the Gallup-Silkworth Co. of Ann Arbor. The device hurls a flame of burning liquid gas.
