FOR COMPUTER CENTER: This reader-sorter is shown as it was hoisted yesterday to a third floor computer center at Ann Arbor Bank's Main and Huron Sts. office. The reader-sorter is part of a four-unit, $500,000 digital computer that will automate all bookkeeping and accounting at the bank after it is put into operation this summer. It is the first such unit to be installed in a Washtenaw County and bank and among the first in the state.

Bank Computer Operational: Ann Arbor Bank's new, $500,000 computer setup, which automates all accounting practices at the bank, is now operation in a remodeled third floor location at the bank's Main and Huron Sts., office. Special accounts are now being processed by the computer and regular and other accounts will be processed by the computer by the end of the year. Shown are the computer's sorter (background) and printer. The IBM computer setup is made up of eight units, taking up much of 800 square feet of floor space. It will issue monthly statements.
