Folk-Singing Duo: "Christopher and Sara," a folk-singing duo from Ann Arbor, are shown here entertaining ninth-grade English class at Pinckney High School recently. The couple was invited to the school by teacher Anne Grunow to exemplify the form of the ballad, which the students are studying. The duo sang old English and Norwegian ballads, along with some of their own compositions. They sing regularly at a number of local coffee houses and other places in and around the Ann Arbor area.

Burg, an industrial-arts teacher at Pinckney High School, is using an enlarged ruler "borrowed" from his classroom. He claims the University of Michigan is in technical violation of Michigan game laws because the fence is less than eight feet high.
