EYE CITY CAGE TROPHY: Captains of the four city championship basketball teams are shown casting covetous eyes at the Moe trophy which will be awarded to the quintet winning the city title this season. Fram Filters and North Side club were eliminated from the running Friday night leaving King-Seeley and Old Hickory to battle it out for the championship at Ann Arbor high Tuesday night at 8:45. In the picture, left to right, are Danny Bearman, of Fram Filters; Tommy Roll of Old Hickory; Louie Wenger of King-Seeley and Alex Lenio of North Side.

A group of north side residents marched Saturday to raise money for the emergency March of Dimes drive now under way. The north side parade netted $80. Leading the north side group were Mrs. George F. Muehlig, accordionist, and Katherine Harrington, Northside School principal.

PLYMOUTH RD. RINK TERMED INADEQUATE: Residents of the north side, as represented by the Northside Civic Association, want better ice skating facilities for their children. In a petition to the city council, the association said the present Plymouth Rd. pond (shown above in use by scores of youngsters) is too small, has no shelter or supervision and is dangerous because of the proximity of the trunkline US-12 highway. The north siders want an artificial rink put into use at the new North Side school. (Story on page 3.)
