On Way To Long Term - Stretcher-bound and handcuffed, Gordon D. Ervin, 27, of Pontiac shot in the chest but not seriously wounded in an escape attempt Monday, is shown being carried from the courtroom after he had been sentenced yesterday afternoon to 50 to 60 years in Southern Michigan Prison for armed robbery. Gordon's brother, Charles E. Ervin, 37, who suffered hip and pelvis fractures in the attempted escape, received an identical sentence shortly before noon. The two, found guilty of taking part in the $4,800 holdup at the Stadium Blvd. Kroger store Feb. 26, were taken to the prison hospital immediately after sentence was pronounced.
