Meter Maids And Their Motorcycles - City Police Chief Walter E. Krasny stands between the two types of motorcycles now being manned by Police Department meter maids. Mrs. Tommie Stewart, left, sits on a three-wheel cycle, similar to those ridden by male traffic officers and Mrs. Elaine Allen is on a small, two-wheel machine which Krasny says is more maneuverable in downtown traffic. The chief says if the small cycle proves practical, Mrs. Stewart will also be assigned to one. She is assigned to parking meter patrol on city streets, while Mrs. Allen checks the city's various parking lots and structures.
