Year:
1995
Published In:
Ann Arbor News, May 24, 1995
Caption:
In an annual event, members of the Clague Middle School Duck Removal Team herd a duck family in the direction of Thurston Pond Tuesday morning. Every spring several ducks nest in the school courtyard, but the ducklings, who can't exactly fly out, are escorted through the school with a help from students and staff. From left are eighth grader Matt Rubens, aide Mary Lou Davis, librarian Rae Ann Weymouth, eighth grader Angie Fernandez, office manager Terry Wilson, and substitute teacher Mary Zdrojowski. At right, momma and her six ducklings paddle across the pond.
