Getting Bear Set For Christmas: Bob Morton (at the left) and Charles Schauer put finishing touches on a giant black bear which will be one of the decorations in the Eberwhite Woods' Christmas display along W. Liberty Rd. Both boys are in the seventh grade at Jones School. Figures made by students in local schools will be put on display at the woods area this week. The bear is one of the legendary woods animals that came to look at the Christ Child.

Lambs-In-The-Woods: These wooly wanderers are part of the Eberwhite Woods Christmas display, which features some 75 life-size figures of persons and animals, arranged to portray the scene of the Nativity. The figures, made by Ann Arbor school-children, are covered with reflecting paint, and the display, extending 300 feet alongside W. Liberty Rd., is illuminated at night with an electrical system installed by student electricians from Ann Arbor High School. Chairman of the Eberwhite Christmas display, which was inaugurated last year, is Edwin C. Oakes. Hundreds of motorists viewed it last season.
