Nineteen-year-old Erwin (Duke) Wallaker applies finishing touches to one of the high-speed, super-streamlined model planes he will fly in Sunday's contest, sponsored by the Junior Chamber of Commerce, at the Municipal Golf Course. Ranged around him in his basement workshop at 1629 Traver Rd. are other models, spare parts and tools, and a few of the trophies he's won in previous competition. He estimates his hobby has cost him at least $2,000 and about 30 hours of work a week.
